Introduction: The U.S. has held a significant position in global politics as a superpower after the end of the cold war till present . The geopolitics of south Asia has strategic importance for the countries like U.S as they have a lot of economic interest connected with the South Asian countries .we have seen their policy shift in south Asia from time to time . Pakistan being a non-NATO important ally of US, was unable to secure it's vital interests during the cold war era and after 9/11 , leading to a relationship full of suspicions and mistrust.Pakistan was on the Frontline during US campaign against terrorism .
